The multi-layered structure of the multi-material interior makes the most of the texture of each material, resulting in a simple yet expressive instrument panel design. The top of the center console has been raised to create a feeling of being enveloped and of high quality, while also improving operability. Ingenious storage space has also been added to create an interior that is easy to use. Fabric (silver stitching) is available for the higher grades. Tricot (silver stitching) is used for the standard grades. Genuine leather seats are also available as a manufacturer-installed option.
Adopts a large 11.6-inch center information display screen
The car features a large 11.6-inch center information display, which is the largest in its class , and also has significantly improved smartphone connectivity. The infotainment system has evolved into one that can be used seamlessly in the same way as the smartphone you normally use.
High quality interior
The car is equipped with 10-way power seats for the driver and 8-way power seats for the passenger. It is equipped with interior illumination and an 11.6-inch full HD large screen display , which is an advanced feature that is not available in other companies. This provides a comfortable ride even when the body is shaken violently by undulating road surfaces .
New Crosstrek B model partially improved with new generation EyeSight
A triple camera (stereo camera unit + wide-angle monocular camera) has been adopted to improve performance. The angle of view of the new stereo camera unit has been significantly increased to approximately twice that of the previous model. The image recognition software and control software have been improved to enable recognition over a wider and farther range. A monocular camera with a wider angle than the new stereo camera has been newly adopted, which can recognize motorcycles and pedestrians. The range of situations that can be handled by the pre-crash brake has been expanded, achieving the best performance of any EyeSight model to date.

Subaru Global Platform adopts full inner frame structure
Subaru Global Platform
In order to further improve the collision safety of the Subaru Global Platform, which was highly evaluated even in the conventional model, the latest knowledge and technology have been incorporated, such as the adoption of a full inner frame structure, the expansion of the application of structural adhesives, and the improvement of the rigidity of the suspension mounting parts. For frontal collisions, the bumper beam has been extended to the outside of the vehicle and a collision subframe has been added. This has improved not only the collision safety of the vehicle itself, but also the performance (compatibility) of protecting the occupants of the other vehicle. As with the Legacy Outback, a new frontal collision test “MPDB (Mobile Progressive Deformable Barrier)” has been introduced to evaluate compatibility by simulating an actual frontal collision accident.

A word from the editorial department
No one would have expected that the Crosstrek would be equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid “next-generation e-BOXER” in a partial improvement. This system, which combines a horizontally opposed engine with Toyota’s hybrid system “THS” motor, is truly a dreamlike evolution. By combining the reliable “THS” with the latest horizontally opposed engine, you can expect not only improved fuel efficiency but also powerful motor assist. In addition, the horizontally opposed engine, which has little vertical shaking when starting the engine, also contributes to stability. It is also equipped with the currently most excellent “EyeSight” in terms of safety , and the adoption of a new hybrid system will significantly improve fuel efficiency and make use of the characteristics of the horizontally opposed engine. I’m really looking forward to the arrival of the new Crosstrek in the future.
