Ahead of its debut, a wider grille and sharper headlights have been unveiled.

“The Audi Q5 has symbolized Audi success for more than 15 years,” said CEO Gernot Dörner. “With the third generation of our most successful SUV, we are starting to refresh our SUV portfolio with efficient combustion engine models and hybrid versions.”

About the exterior of the new Audi Q5

The new Audi Q5 will be fully redesigned for the 2025 model year, using an improved version of the current-generation MLB architecture. The new model has a lower ride height, a more pronounced sloping windshield, and a roof that dips dramatically towards the rear, giving it an overall sportier look. While this prototype still has temporary lights installed at both ends, it appears the Q5 will use traditional one-piece front headlight units and not a split-lamp design like the upcoming Q6 e-tron. The lights will be LED-powered, and Audi will offer a smart adaptive matrix LED lighting system.

Audi new Q5 full model change interior

The interior of the Q5 will see more changes than just its exterior. The current model features a rectangular tablet-style touchscreen and digital gauge pack integrated into a traditional dashboard design, but these will be revamped for the new model. The new Q5 will have a large, square infotainment tablet in front of the four-spoke steering wheel and a separate digital instrument cluster in a trendy design.

About the new Audi Q5 full model change powertrain

The new Q5 will have many engine configurations in common with the A4, with a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines available. Regardless of engine choice, power is sent to all four wheels via either a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
