Suzuki has made some improvements to its new light vehicle, the Hustler, and will release it on May 24, 2024. Prices range from 1,518,000 yen to 1,933,800 yen. The special edition car “TOUGH WILD” is priced from 1,760,000 yen to 2,021,800 yen.

About Suzuki new Hustler partially improved 2024 model

In this partial improvement, we added a “rear parking sensor indicator light (inside the meter)” to comply with new regulations. We also added new body colors and introduced a special edition model, “TOUGH WILD.” Along with this, the previous special edition “J STYLE II” has been removed from the lineup. The newly added body colors are “Vermilion Orange Soft Beige 2 Tone”, “Active Yellow Gunmetallic 2 Tone”, and “Soft Beige”. Due to changes in specifications and increases in raw material prices, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price and manufacturer option prices have also been revised. In addition, the special edition car “TOUGH WILD” also existed in the previous “Hustler”, and its return is eagerly awaited.

About Suzuki New Hustler Partial Specification Changes 2022 Model

Suzuki will make some specification changes to the Hustler, which will be announced on May 9, 2022 and released on May 23. With this specification change, we have also newly adopted “adaptive cruise control with all-vehicle speed tracking function” and “lane departure prevention function” for NA engine vehicles. Many new body colors will be added. The HYBRID X and HYBRID X Turbo grades are equipped with a USB power socket and a front intermittent wiper with time adjustment. In addition, a new special specification “J STYLE II” will also be available.

About the new Hustler special edition “J STYLE II”

The special edition “J STYLE II” will be equipped with the following equipment.

• Fully automatic air conditioner equipped with Nanoe X
• Door trim color garnish, instrument panel color garnish, floor console tray (changed to titanium gray)

• Front intermittent wiper with time adjustment

About Hustler features

Zuki will carry out a full model change of the new Hustler, which will be announced on December 24, 2019 and released on January 20, 2020. Prices range from 1,365,100 yen to 1,746,800 yen, and it is the first full model change from the previous model in about 5 years. From October 24th to November 4th, 2019 (Press Day was October 23rd to 24th, 2019), the second generation new Hustler, “HUSTLER CONCEPT”, was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019.

This new Hustler was developed with the concept of “More fun! More excitement! A more active light crossover.” The new platform “HEARTECT” used in the new “Wagon R” is also adopted.

About Suzuki New Hustler Exterior

• A concept kept from the previous model The headlights have the same round shape as the old model.
• Inspired by outdoor items, it combines toughness and strength with functionality.
• Compared to the previous model, the wheelbase has been extended by 35mm to provide more legroom for rear seat passengers, and the distance between the left and right front seats has been increased by 30mm to create a comfortable and spacious interior.

The exterior design maintains the Keep concept, and the Hustler’s headlights retain the same round shape as the old model. This gives it a unique personality that makes it instantly recognizable as a hustler. We also incorporate ideas from outdoor items and pursue toughness and strength while emphasizing functionality. By raising the height of the hood by 20mm and creating a rounded yet thick, slightly angular image, the design is similar to the new Jimny.

Compared to the previous model, the wheelbase has been extended by 35 mm to provide more legroom for rear seat passengers, and the distance between the left and right front seats has been increased by 30 mm, creating a comfortable and spacious interior. Even with this expansion, we maintained the minimum turning radius at 4.6m to maintain good maneuverability.

About Suzuki new Hustler interior

• The interior has a very high quality feel and gives an outdoor and sporty impression.
• Equipped with memory navigation (manufactured by Pioneer) with a newly developed 9-inch HD display. Also compatible with “Apple CarPlay”, “Android Auto”, and “SmartDeviceLink”.

The interior design has a style similar to the new XBEE. It has a high texture and gives an outdoor and sporty impression. In particular, the shape of the dashboard and the navigation area are distinctive. The meter uses a color liquid crystal meter, and is equipped with memory navigation (manufactured by Pioneer) with a newly developed 9-inch HD display. It also supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SmartDeviceLink. Additionally, the omnidirectional monitor features a 3D view, allowing you to see your surroundings in 360 degrees (manufacturer option). To improve quietness, a high-attenuation mastic sealer is used for the first time in a light vehicle, and soundproofing materials and insulation materials are optimally placed. However, electric parking brake & hold is not installed.

About Suzuki new Hustler platform safety equipment

• Adopts next-generation lightweight platform “Heartect”
• The safety equipment is equipped with “dual camera brake support”. It falls under the category of “Support Car S Wide,” which is being promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

The new 6th generation Wagon R uses the next-generation lightweight platform “Heartect” and has completely renewed its frame and major parts. This achieves high rigidity and light weight. The new platform allows for more interior space than the previous model.

In addition, as part of the active safety technology, SUZUKI Safety Support is equipped with “Dual Camera Brake Support.” This falls under the category of “Support Car S Wide” which is being promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Furthermore, it also features a “snow mode”, a first for Suzuki mini vehicles.

About Suzuki’s new Hustler engine

By combining the new R06D engine with a new CVT, we have achieved excellent fuel efficiency and smooth driving over a wide speed range from low to medium-high speeds. All models are equipped with the same mild hybrid system used in the new Wagon R, increasing motor assist time and motor output, increasing maximum output from 2.2 ps to 3.1 ps. This provides higher fuel efficiency.

New Hustler equipped with dual camera brake support

Avoid danger by utilizing a stereo camera with night pedestrian detection function.

Dual camera brake support has the following features:

1. Forward collision warning function: Detects vehicles and pedestrians ahead when driving at speeds of approximately 5km/h to approximately 100km/h, and issues a warning if there is a possibility of a collision.
2. Forward Collision Warning Brake Function: When the possibility of a collision increases, the system automatically applies weaker brakes to help avoid a collision.
3. Forward Collision Damage Mitigation Brake Assist Function: When the driver steps on the brakes after it has been determined that there is a high possibility of a collision, Brake Assist is activated and increases the braking force.
4. Automatic braking function: If a collision is determined to be unavoidable, the system automatically applies strong brakes to reduce the damage caused by the collision.

The false start prevention function prevents collisions caused by incorrect pedal or shift operations.

The lane departure warning and lane departure prevention functions issue a warning if the vehicle deviates from its lane, and prompts the driver to steer in the direction to prevent lane departure, if necessary.

The sway warning function sounds an alarm when the vehicle meandering, alerting the driver.

Brake support when reversing and front and rear collision damage reduction brakes reduce collision damage when reversing.

Adaptive cruise control with all-vehicle speed tracking function automatically maintains a distance from the vehicle in front while automatically following acceleration, deceleration, and stopping.

Suzuki has set up a special edition model “J STYLE” for the new “Hustler” and released it on November 17, 2020.

The “Hustler J STYLE” is a special edition model based on the Hustler HYBRID X and HYBRID X Turbo that is equipped with exclusive equipment. Equipped with roof rails, a special plated front grille, and the HUSTLER alphabet emblem, it has a more powerful and sophisticated appearance. The instrument panel and seat upholstery are accented with bluish silver, combined with exclusive leather and fabric.
